Dr. B received a few texts and facebook messages the other night while we were traveling in Reno. Yes, I said Reno. Yes, I like RENO. Just don’t leave the resort. Oh, now you change your mind because I said R.E.S.O.R.T. ! Snob, you are.

There’s a spa, a really nice one. And there’s a pool with a B.A.R. And, there’s a really nice suite with my name on it. I don’t care that it’s 1 gazillion degrees outside in those conditions.

Sorry, i was distracted.

It seems the other night my grin could be seen on national television. It seems that when I attended the taping of Last Comic Standing that you could see me grinning and clapping. Thank god, I didn’t look as stupid as I usually do when laughing.

I was there to watch Laurie Kilmartin who is a finalist right now on Last Comic Standing. Laurie has appeared at Wharf Room Comedy a few times. I’m happy to announce that she’s fantastic, she’s caustic, she’s funny, she’s honest and well I think she’s the bees knees. So watch Last Comic Standing and vote for Laurie or, or, or… I’ll start ignoring you on Facebook.

More importantly we have a couple of fantastic shows for you this weekend. Not only is Sal Calanni headlining in celebration of his new CD “Real Job, Real Paycheck” - I might be able to tell you that Laurie will be at one or more of them Friday or Saturday. I’m having a great time lately with the comedy and, the no day job and, the my daughter is here for the summer stuff I have going on right now.  Its really fun when you start your own business and your children are around for it. Its fun because they become employees. Employees who get paid in burrito’s. They also become employee’s who give you tips on your act; that’s when I slip extra hot salsa in the burrito’s. However, taking a little criticism is still cheaper than a salary.

June 24, Cafe Royale will be my San Francisco storytelling debut. I’ve traveled to Los Angles a couple times to perform at Moth StorySlams. I’m really happy to have a full ten minutes to tell a story. I’ll be debuting the story of my mother’s funeral. A short hilarious romp through drug addiction, crazy family and a dead woman on a couch.

June 27, Tower Park Lodi - This is a room out in the Delta close to Sacramento. Should be hot and should be fun.

June 29 Ladies Night, Wharf Room Comedy – This is one of my favorite nights of Wharf Room Comedy. I’m always excited to have a full line-up of some of the funniest women in San Francisco. I’ve started a group called San Francisco Women of Comedy for networking and booking opportunities. If you haven’t joined the Facebook group please do so. I fully intend to grow this group to provide additional networking, booking and performance opportunities to other women in comedy or fans of women in comedy.

July 7, Rooster T. Feathers, Sunnyvale California. A great room with fun audiences!! Please call for reservations and mention my name at the door. I get credit for people who come to the show = more time on stage.

July 21st,Bazaar Café – This is a brand new room open in San Francisco. A quaint coffee shop with a delightful garden in the back.

I am super excited to announce that Rick Shapiro of Lucky Louie will be performing at Wharf Room Comedy on August 7th. I’m so damn excited that I nearly pee’d when I finalized booking Rick. For the love of cheese, please get some tickets to see Rick tear up my stage. Its gonna be a fun night indeed.

This month is a big month for me and the club. We have great shows planned all month, I have actual shows booked all month. I’m super excited to be performing so much and even more excited that summer is here and comedy is looking good.

This Friday we do not have a Wharf Room Comedy Show. I’ll be at Pissed off Pete’s for the MILF Comedy Showcase. If you haven’t heard my story about talking to my kids about blowjobs then this is the show for you.
