September 8
We are back from Mexico, we had such a nice relaxing time.
The swim up bar was wonderful and the bartender, well let’s just say he wasn’t hard to look at.
My kids had such a fun time in the pool and playing volleyball. We went into town one day and did some shopping, the kids hated it. They didn’t like not understanding everything, and that people kept trying to sell us stuff – it’s a different country and they still need a bit of time to get used to things like that. I think Puerto Vallarta is a great city, I like the steep slopes of the city and how it looks like the city is built right into the side of the mountain with the jungle looming so close.
We went on a day long sailing trip for snorkeling and general sightseeing -wow, what a trip for me. I think I’ve fallen in love with the ocean again. I loved the boat, I loved the sun and the warm water. I snorkeled for two hours, floating around like a little fish just going with the ocean current. You don’t realize how much you become part of the earth when you do something like that. I sort of know how Dori and Nemo felt now when they were riding the EAC with the turtles. ha, ha!!
My daughter was so sick, she really hated the trip. She slept most of the time – she even took a Dramamine before we left and it didn’t help one bit. Later on she started feeling sick so the crew, they were very nice, gave her lime juice from fresh limes, she said it helped a bit. Later on as she was sleeping, one of the crew members Casper, put a case of empty corona bottles in front of her and arranged them to look like she was passed out. We took a picture and have coined it “Well my boat trip wasn’t entirely wasted, but I was”, she finally smiled.
My son was completely happy, he saw that the boat was real and he headed for the wheel. He became the captain’s mate just so he could learn how to steer the boat and use the compass. He was also allowed to fish off the boat as we were sailing, he really liked it. As soon as he started snorkeling he decided he wanted back on the boat, he didn’t like the ocean and the way it tasted, so he went back to what he loved.
Other than that, nothing else has happened and I really truly needed the rest.
Ciao for now….
